Britain's leader is expected to urge supporting countries to deliver Ukrainian forces with more extended-range weaponry to target Russian targets during talks in Britain on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukrainian President the Ukrainian head of state alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", including more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to provide the Ukrainian government security guarantees once hostilities pause is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been urging for weeks for additional long-range weapons from the West, an action that Moscow has stated would worsen the war.

The Ukrainian president is travelling from Brussels, where he met European representatives on the previous day requesting financial support.

Britain's leader will encourage participants to expand the provision of long-range weapons following an effective operation on a manufacturing site in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.
